Biography

Zachary Coffin (“Zack”) is an American actor and writer living and working in India. He was born in California, resides in Mumbai, and has lived, worked & traveled in nearly 35 countries. Zack was formally trained in acting at the Stella Adler Acting Studio in New York, and received a B.A. with High Honours from Columbia University and an M.F.A. in Film Production from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. In India, he began as a stage actor performing at Prithvi Theatre and NCPA in Mumbai, and then toured the country with the award-winning play ‘Baghdad Wedding’, which won the national META award for Best Play and Best Ensemble. He got good notice in his first Indian movie Mary Kom (2014) as the German Boxing Coach, and subsequently was cast to play the ‘gora shaitaan’ Greyerson on the Hindi TV serial MahaKumbh (2014). He has worked in film, TV, theatre, digital and ads in English, Hindi, Tamil, French and Spanish — both in India and the West. Though he’s often seen playing the “#evilwhiteguy” — notably as the British Football Coach in Housefull 3 (2016) or as Lord Jackson in the Tamil hit Jackson Durai (2016) — Zack enjoys every opportunity for a good laugh and is delighted to be doing comedies in several several web series and on stage with the hit play ‘Last Over’. Zack can be seen in the upcoming TV shows Maharaja Ranjit Singh (Life OK), Chandrasekhar Azad (Star) and _Raag Desh (2017)_qv (RSTV); the digital series _Inside Edge (2017)_ (Amazon), Office vs. Office (2017) (TVF/Screen Patti), Bose: Dead/Alive (2017) (ALTBalaji) and Going Viral (Amazon); and the movies A Gentleman (2017) (Fox), Simran (2017) (T-Series), Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran (2018) (John Abraham Entertainment), Judwaa 2 (2017) (David Dhawan), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) (Yash Raj) and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2018) (Zee Studios).
